Salzburg. Summer, sun, city and more
This beautiful city is situated on Salzach river. The name of both city and river comes from salz witch in german means salt. Salz+burg=salt and castle ,the name of this beautiful city comes from Berchtesgaden salt mine, if you have time I really suggest to go and visit, it’s a beautiful subterranean world ideal for small and big.
If you like biking in five minutes you can get from central city to the nature.
Salzburg is a graceful city, people are very relaxed and polite. We staid 48h because we were driving to Romania, so we decided to split the road and Salzburg was half way between London and Vulcan. The first day we just staid in the hotel To tired from the road, and was raining as well. But the second day we woke up in the morning and outside the whether was amazing.
Historical centre and castle
It is a small city you don’t need a car or public transport. As soon as you arrive at the historic centre, you will notice that the only cars that are there are taxis and supply machines. If you decide to move by car lots of places have free parking. We went on a underground parking, it was very chip, at list I think it was ( comparing with London :)) ). Main food in Salzburg is meat, we had a lovely lunch with an amazing view over Salzburg at the castle. What I definitely recommend is to bring cash with you, because we forgot to take cash out, and they are not very happy if you have to pay by card. There card machine is very slow.
Owned by Red Bull is not a hangar in a traditional sense but rather a multifunctional building.Fabulous museum dedicated to speed and the machines that have taken people to the edges of our human limitations. It is surrounded by super-swanky bars, including on hanging from the center of the domed ceiling. The smell of high performance petrol products is worth the visit alone.
Schloss Hellbrunn & Wasserspiele
Last stop of the day. Our hotel was very close to Hellbrunn castle (2 minutes woke).Beautiful area to walk around, there is an amazing view over the alps and the city. You have to climb a bit to get that view but its really worth it!If you have time go and see the trick fountains and gardens, can be seen with a guided tour only. Watch over your electronic devices, they might get wet.
